Amarillo, TX (TEA Day 12)

Yesterday we had another hotel with bad WiFi. That’s why we’re posting today.

 

Yesterday we left Mr. Chris and Mrs. Ceil’s house to drive 370 miles to Amarillo, TX.

It was very flat in New Mexico.

We drove through a dust storm in Texas. Mom was pretty scared.

We stopped in Amarillo at the Big Texan Motel. The only sightseeing we were able to do was dinner.

Charlie says that the outside of the room is his favorite color. Marty wants to know what they did with his brother.

So the Big Texan Steakhouse is famous for its free 72oz steak. If you are able to eat in in 1 hour, you get it free. If you don’t, you have to pay $72.

Charlie likes to pose for the camera, and likes to make weird faces.

The steak there was amazing! Charlie says the steak was so juicy and he had ketchup with it. Marty wants to know what they did with his brother.

This is Eddie’s 10oz prime rib, which he split with Marty.

This is Marty’s 8oz sirloin, which he split with Eddie.

This is the 6oz filet that Mom and Charlie each got.

They had an old guy band going around. The fiddle player was on oxygen.

The steak was so good! We are all glad we went.
